Councillors of Parish Councils (and other public bodies) are required to  declare any interests they have financially or other wise that affect their ability to act impartially. So if a Councillor in Twyning for example was a Governor at the local school, whislt this would not amount to a financial interest, it would if a request for a grant came through. Similarly if a Councillor was involved in a local business this too would have to be declared.
